Sportswoman Gema Hassen-Bey has been named “Universal Spaniard”, recognition that has been granted by the Board of Directors of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United States.
Gracia Sánchez del Real, President of Woman Leader Spain and Board Member of Woman Leader International, Lucía Valeriano, Press Officer of the Kilimanjaro Challenge, Ramón Duero, Director at Europa Comunicacin and José Moreno, Director of Knowmad Coaching, were accompanying Gema as part of her team at the XXXV Annual Gala of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in United States held at the Coral Gables Country Club in Miami. It was attended by about 350 guests, including prominent entrepreneurs from Spain and the United States.
The companies Iberia and Greenberg Traurig were awarded the “Enterprise of the Year” award, these awards were collected by Juan Cierco, Director of Communication, Institutional Relations and CSR of the Spanish airline Iberia, and Antonio Peña, partner of the law firm American Greenberg Traurig.
Gema Hassen-Bey presented at the gala her innovative sports, technology and social project “Summit Bey-Kilimanjaro Challenge”, where she will be the first woman in the world to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair.
